I walked down the corridor contemplating in vein what to tell him. I mean how do you break something like this to a person? so far i've come up with, "hey, how was biology? oh by the way, i'm a supernatural creature who 3 nights a month could very easily kill this whole town! oh and do we have English homework?" or my personal favourite. "does this fur make my bum look big? do you think i should get my claws pedicures?" He is bound to get uptight about this and i don't blame him! i mean i'm uptight about this. I risk losing my best friend but he deserves the truth, and i cant keep lying to him its ripping me apart not being able to talk to this with him.

Well its now or never as they say. "Hey Leo wait up!" I jog to catch Leo, my best friend of 14 years. Leo turned around and smiled when he saw me. "Hey Dru, what's up?" i stuttered in total anxiety. "i..uh...Leo i need to talk to you somewhere private." i wanted to go somewhere less obvious incase some people over heard. school had long finished but we had stayed behind to set up for the school's version of Romeo and Juliet, it was the only way to get out of acting in it. "yeah sure. are you ok? You're a little...jumpy" he asked concerned. "or is it just to much coffee again?" i laughed a little to hard, "no i just have something to tell you but i'd rather not do it here." Leo nodded, "sure, lets go in here then" He led me into an empty classroom. i sat down across from him. "Leo their's something about me you dont know and i want you to know....but you are gonna find it hard to believe" Leo interrupted. "Their's something i don't know about you?" he asked slightly shocked. i felt so guilty he had a look of hurt in his eyes, "yes and i never wanted to keep it from you but now i'm going to tell you like i should have done a long time ago." Leo edged me on i could tell he really wanted to know this big secret. Ok this is it Dru now or never! "Leo......i'm a....uh i'm a werewolf" said anticipating his reaction. Leo thought about this and laughed, "is this all a joke? Dru your convincing you should have auditioned for the play!" he said as he laughed some more. I just sat there completely dumbstruck. "Um....Leo i was telling the truth i am a werewolf but not like typical mythology. I can hold back from hurting people, control my gift if you like. The wolf blood has been in my family for generations." i said my face serious, his growing confused. "Dru this isn't funny anymore, can i go now? And i think its time i monitored your viewing habits!" he asked obviously annoyed. "Leo i am not lying to you. What i said is the truth. You no i wouldn't be able to keep a straight face if i was joking" Leo became shocked he did know that, i was the worst liar and Leo always knew when i was lying. "No this cant be real how can you be a...? this is impossible!" he said fear evident in his voice. "I know its hard to believe but......" Leo quickly inturrupted raising his voice. "No! I've known you my whole life this is not happening!" i knew i had to make him believe me or else i might lose him. "Leo! Werewolf's, vampyrs, demons, incubi, succubi everything you ever dreaded was under your bed but thought couldn't be by the light of day, its all real and its all here!" i said trying to convince him but it was probably the worst speech i could have made as he left the room.

i sat and gathered myself for a few seconds then got up and went in search of Leo. I knew he wouldn't go far, he wasn't one to go and hide after something big. i thought i saw him going up the side stairs so i followed but he picked up his pace i ended up running to try and catch him. i ran but couldn't see him so i just kept going foward until there was a blinding light in my eyes. i held my hand up until my eyes adjusted. "Romeo, Romeo, where art tho Romeo" was halered as i saw what was infront of me......people, an auditorium full of people. They all started laughing, at me! i could feel my face burn up turning bright red. behind me the Romeo came on stage and debated whether or not to continue his lines, which made the audience laugh harder, i just wanted to turn and run but for some reason my legs were stuck they wouldn't move! i was completely paralyzed in fear! thats when i felt it. somewhere took my hand, i turned round......it was Leo. He had that goofy smile on his face as he waved to the amused crowd then bowed to Juliet on the balcony! He litrally dragged me off stage. "Dru ? you ok?"He asked waving a hand infront of my face. i just looked at him. He ofcourse started laughing, as did I. "i hate you see what you made me do! cause you run off like some drama-queen!" I said as i hit his shoulder. "well you no my best friend just came out with hey i'm a werewolf! so i do get a bit shocked when that happens!" he said still laughing. "ok fair enough." i said my face turning serious. "do you still love me Leo?" i asked with puppy dog eyes. He tried to look puzzled. "i think its safe to say yes. actually if you show me some cool wolf tricks i may just come to love you more." Leo joked while putting his arm round my shoulders and leeding us out of skool. i was so releaved when he said that. He found it cool, ok it was hard but it is cool when you think about it, i'm a werewolf how many people can say that?
