(Additional note: I wrote this in the 45-minute break between two of my classes.)

Midnight looked at her watch, it was 3:00am, good. Leaving her room she went down the hall and knocked on Chiad and Sharra's doors.

"Guys? You ready to go?" Midnight asked.

Chiad and Sharra slipped out of their rooms, Sharra was putting on a pair of work gloves and Chiad was shoving a screwdriver into one of her pockets.

"Okay, lets go." Midnight headed for one of the fire escapes that were the quietest way to get to any of the other floors in the dorm. After going down several flights of stairs they entered the common room of another floor. Glancing around to make sure there was no one up to see them, they went into one of the wings.

"All clear." whispered Chiad, who was watching the common room to make sure no one would see them.

Midnight quickly pulled out a roll of tape and taped a sign to the door of the washroom. The sign read: "Warning, bathroom flooded, please use one in another wing."

Sharra motioned to Chiad and the three girls slipped inside the washroom. Midnight pulled on her gloves and Chiad stuck a wedge under the door so that it could not be opened from the outside.

"Okay Sharra, you take the showers, Chiad and I will deal with the rest of the washroom. Remember, be as quiet as you can."

Sharra nodded and moved off to attack everything in the showers that could come unscrewed. Midnight and Chiad worked together, unscrewing the panels that separated the toilets and held the soap dishes to the walls.

Just before they were finished they heard a person coming down the hall towards the bathroom. Midnight made a sharp gesture with her hand and Chiad froze, holding the panel she was holding about an inch off of the ground. Who ever was outside was obviously half-asleep because they tried to open the door before they noticed the sign that Midnight had so thoughtfully attached to the door. Chiad winced and held her breath, hoping that the wedge would hold the door shut. She breathed out and quietly lowered the panel when the wedge held. They could hear the half-awake person mumble to themselves as hey stumbled down the hall and out into the common room.

Quickly, Midnight, Chiad, and Sharra finished dismantling the washroom and stood by the door for a minute to admire their work. Everything that had been held together with screws was now unscrewed. All of the screws were piled neatly in the center of the floor.

Chiad removed the wedge from beneath the door and cautiously stuck her head out the door. Finding the coast clear, she moved out into the hallway and back to the common room. Sharra followed her and Midnight paused to remove the sign from the door before following the other two.

Slipping back up the stairs, Midnight smiled. "That'll teach them not to steal our furniture," she said to the other two before they returned to their rooms and back to bed.
