Star of Heart and Joy

The pretty little star,

Sparkling in the candle’s glow,

Silver glitter and white paste,

Made to look like snow,

The frosty little star,

Glittering like a snowflake,

The angel crafted by young hands,

Though without wings,

A face or a body,

Who needs an angel, anyhow?

When all my angels are gathered ‘round,

As the pretty little star

Made of love and Christmas spirit,

Watches over our celebrations,

Silver against evergreen,

Basking in soft, flickering golden,

The pretty little star of my heart,

Decorating the tree of rich, earthy green,

Such a pretty little star
