Tempest

To press a thorny kiss upon the brow of the child,

The avenging one secured the doom of the land,

The seas churned blood and hollow winds wailed,

The sky wept fire and ashes long into empty nights,

To lift the curse that ravaged the abandoned land,

The one of steel and sorrow must reap life,

The life of the child, the life of the love,

The pillars of martyrdom collapse in the sand,

The bitter tears replenishing the barren world,

So life and love may spring forth eternal,

Under the careful watching eye of the child
