Glory interrupted
Once so proud and tall
Crumpled to the ground
So did it fall

A City tries to fly
With wings of broken Trust

A young man stands
Weeping for it all

Civilians run in terror
At the air raid call
Innocent or guilty

Who will be safe
From the pointed bloodlust?
