THE ROOM

In that room

The three beds

Our suitcases

The bare white walls

That we filled with laughter

After that night

I could never go back into that room

But if I did it was to cry

Cry for what I had lost

My innocence

Me

Why did it happen?

Why can't I forget

The pain

The embarrassment

The guilt.
