Gentle buds young and tender

Swaying in the springtime breeze

Morning dew glistening beneath the sun

Enchanting blossoms naïve

Sinless flowers blushing in the dawn

Giving shade from the summer sun

Graceful angels in full bloom

Hauntingly beautiful blossoms ripe

Sakura, Sakura

Delicate damsels tinted vermilion

Teased by celestial autumn drizzles

Soft petals under the stars

Lovely blossoms savoring their sanctuary

Sakura, Sakura

Whispering to her sisters through the snow

Growing faint in winter’s chill

Blood colored floret peacefully falling to the ground

Silent blossoms dead in a barren land
