Am I in a poetic mood or what? Not really, since this sucks and the last one was more stream-of-consciousness… except I was fully aware. Oh well! Rate this poem on a level of 0-10 - I'm aiming for a 2, guys!

Disclaimer: A little bit of this poem is © Radiohead. O Heck I love that band… mmmm. Guess which part, if you can. Maybe the girl with the Hitler hairdo can assist you. **inside joke, sorry**

Sixteen Candles

It was you.

Surely, it was I

Who killed their hopes and dreams

In a fit of jealousy?

But,

It was you who

Twisted the blade.

Momentary lapse

And I am back

To worshipping you

Once more.

I can't escape my past

Since you are in my future.

I'm presently resisting your

Charms,

Yet I fear that

Tomorrow might bring

An ambush on my

Emotions.

O,

My love,

For a minute there

I lost myself -

And so did you.

I wish you'd never

Found me once more.

I fir - stop.

I cut you to the wick,

But you know how to melt my wax

Just right.

Pain is perfection,

And you are pain.

We are bound -

Am I perfect, then?

I hate to love you.

You love to hate me.

I'll shoot you one day,

But you'll just glare right back at me.

A kiss can rid me of these worries…

Your embrace contains nothing but desire.

You burn.

I melt.
