Chapter 3
That night i slept a deep & dreamless sleep.
Something which i have not had the pleasure of in a long time.
I felt very safe & comfortable in this old Wizards house.
He had a kind way about him, and i know that he could never do any harm.
Maybe, it was those reasons that i had such a great sleep.
Or maybe, i was so tired from the long journey from the rock formation, where i came-to.
I haven’t really had a dream since i was a young child, my head filled with wonder & wanting to know more about this world that we live in.
But now, i only have nightmares.
I have nightmares about Sirus, my evil twin brother.
I can always remember the dream right down to the very last detail, because i always have the same one.
The dream starts with me walking down the main street of Tigyn, the village in which i was born.
The street is empty, which in itself it very strange. Because the main street of Tigyn is always filled with people.
People selling meats, bread, fish, fruit, jewellery...
If you ask anyone in the village of Tigyn, what the colour of the ground in the main street is, you wont get an answer.
Nobody knows.
Because the ground is always covered with peoples feet.
People trying to get food to feed their family.
Many of the less fortunate families, loiter around the main street.
Begging for some food or money from the people-passing bye.
But in my nightmare, nobody is begging, and nobody is yelling anything about fresh fish.
All that can be heard is sound of my footsteps & my cloak blowing in the wind.
I am at the north end of the street.
There is only two ways in or out.
There’s the north end, and there’s south end.
I can’t see him very good at first.
Because of the sun shining in my eyes.
But as he gets closer i can see him more clearly.
My brother looks exactly like me, except he has a long grey beard which goes down to his stomach.
And i didn’t notice it at first, but in his right hand he is holding something.
I can’t tell what it is, but as soon as he gets closer i can tell.
It is a human head.
The head of my great grandmother, Lipinda.
She was the person that understood me the most, and she was the one that told me to go the
Quizko Wizard College.
She was murdered while i was in my second year at Quiko’s.
We never found out who the murderer was.
I can now hear, laughter coming from Sirus.
He is cackling so hard, and he is shaking all over, making the head, which he is holding by its hair, jiggle.
He then looks me in the eyes.
I can now see that his eyes aren’t those of a human.
But look strikingly similar to the eyes of a Gharnet.
A mystical which is a cat that walks on its hind legs, and is as tall as a human.
A story about this creature that i heard when i was still going to school, was that three villages over, Gharnet’s had been creeping into the village, and stealing new born babies, to feed their young.
My brother’s eyes have the pointy oval shape that cats have and it is bright orange.
He then arches his right arm back, getting ready to throw my Great Grandma Lipinda’s head.
I yell out at the top of my lungs-
“No, don’t!â€
