so here we stand

face to face

undaunted

by fate’s cruel hand

i ask of you

ponder

what makes us

as we are

standing here on the edge of reality

unacceptable to others

what makes us

who we are

trembling on weak ground

sculpting the destiny

before us

what made us come here

where we stand

as equals

chest to chest

face to face

heart to heart

wondering what is to come

and through all this

why we chose

each other

in these times

here where even children

mock us

and the accusations

follow

yet here is completion

and no longer can my heart

bear to leave

half of my soul that I have lost

now found

in eyes that show me

the universe all in one glance

and clear the fog surrounding

my world

and open the doors to another

and even if I could have

the world

my heart would be content

just to stay here
