Song of a Lonely Wanderer
by One Nation of the Dark

in solitude
I'm wandering
the wind brings
the chill of evening
the autumn sun sets
in golden fire
to lie down and sleep
is my desire

melancholy
gets hold of me
weariness
is all I feel

daylight fades
and shadows fall
I hear the voice
of memory call

the sound of night birds
in the sky
beneath the rising
moon I lie

a cold breeze
gently touches me
I'm drawn deep
into memory

the moon is full
and I can't sleep
in darkness here
I lie and weep

hours pass
without sound
my questions silenced
no answers found

o night my mother
to thee I pray
whilst thou not take
my sorrows away

or wilst thou let me
sleepless lie
in hopelessness
until I die
