Is that what you want me to be?

How can you try to live my life

When you don’t even know me?

Oh you think you know me so well

There’s no way in hell that you do

For if I don’t fully know myself

It’s an impossible task for you

How selfish at times you can be

Thinking always of yourself

Never thinking of me

You try to pretend that you care

That’s a mask you never put down

No matter how well I do

My actions cause you to frown

Always yelling and screaming about what I do wrong

Oh how cruel you can be

You say to abide by your rules

I think that they’re no good

Though I tried to obey them

They’re impossible nobody could!

You try to make me perfect

Can’t you just be satisfied with me?

You think just because you turned our bad

That I’ll end up like you

That I’ll make the wrong choices
