The Glorious Lady Of The Sky

Restless though my eyes are tired,

Content as I yearn for ever more,

The clouds a veil ‘ore the fair moon’s face,

As I stand here humbled by its grace,

My heart a flutter upon the wings of breeze,

A song echoing in my soul plays through my mind,

As my body longs to dance to the silvery tune,

But I remain rooted still, locked within the milky glow,

Dark limbs reaching ever upward to the sky,

Striving to touch what cannot die,

A dream, a hope, an imagining,

That secret place within us all,

Where wisdom ferments and wishes abound,

The twinkling eyes of eternity scattered above,

Watching in darkness and light,

I close my eyes to this wondrous thing,

And become a part of it in my sleep.
