This is an original piece that I wrote several years ago.  I would love to hear what you think of it since many have said it is some of my deepest work.

~ Elizabeth Bathory

Remember Me This Way

Look upon me fondly when I am gone

Speak of me well

If you speak of me at all

When I am gone

I wish to be remembered

For who I was

Not for who I am

Forget my wrongs

And hold fast to my rights

Remember the sweet times we shared

And that we will always hold in our hearts

My life may not have made a great mark on the world

But I believe it has made a mark

I may be gone

But I hope not forgotten

Remember me this way
