Author: Mistress Jakira Just something I wrote one day. It's mostly a personal commentary on the fantasy world I like to live in (unfortunately during school). As can be expected of my poetry, nothing deep, and it rhymes the whole way through. =)

Whirling
thunder
Running
through
The blackening
sky
With
a crimson hue
Dragons
licking at the sky
Tongues
electric rods of light
Griffins
roar and Sphinxes sigh
Vanishing
into the endless night
Unicorns
prance and mermaids sing
Golden
crystal bells, they ring
Brave
young soldiers battling
Ah, the
joys of imagining.
Author's Notes: I wrote this at the library one day, just on a whim. Actually it was inspired by a picture in my history book of the Indian chief Whirling Thunder. I thought that was a very cool name, and so I wanted to use it in something I wrote...and this is what happened!! Special thanks goes out to Cherrelle--she was the one who originally came up with the dragon-tongue lightning idea. I wish I had thought of it, but I didn't, so all the credit for that one goes to her. ;_; ;)
