A.N.:  I reread it, and realized that I had a lot of errors.  So I decided to edit it.  If you like this story, I have the series already written out (at least chapter one).

Once

Most stories start out in Long Ago, perhaps in A Land Far, Far Away.  This story happened eons before Long Ago.  As for A Land Far, Far Away, we can never be entirely sure of the location of this origin of the universe.  So, we shall settle for Once.

Once, there was Not.  A border of Nothingness stretched across the vast plains and blanketed All.  In this Nothingness Were 2 separate dwellings, each unseen by the other.  These two were called Graelithe and Jairalla .

Graelithe was a place of Darkness, its only light the inhabitants.  They were creatures with majestic wings, which had incandescent scales of many hues.  From bright gold to the palest lavender, their scales were glittering gemstones in the Eternal Darkness.  Their eyes were black as the Dark they dwelled in, but with a light behind those orbs.  They called themselves Dracoinnes.

Jairalla was the complete reverse.  Those who live there were bathed in Continuous Light.  There, natives sprouted ivory wings and delicate feathers fluttered in the breeze.  Their eyes were ever changing, always turning a different color.  They were the Seiraphae, creatures of the Light.

Both the Dracoinnes and the Seiraphae lived in individual harmony.  Evil?  No such thing.  There was no real passage of Time—for during that ethereal state, she did not Exist—and all lived in perfect bliss.  Then out of the Nothingness, two Were.  Creatures at the same instance similar and unlike clung to each other.  Then a 3rd Consciousness arose from the Nothingness.  She approached the small Beings.

"I am sorry, little ones," the impossibly beautiful Being whispered.  Her luminous eyes radiated with sorrow.  She took the 1st babe into her arms and saw the creature's image was akin to hers.  She closed her eyes and named him Alpha.  She took the other one, cuddled her, and saw that it too was like Time, the goddess of what Was, Is, and To Be.

The goddess of Existence.

She named the babe Omega and held both close to her breast.  Then, weeping, she transported Alpha to Graelithe, and Omega to Jairalla.  Afterwards Time created Omni, a corner in the Nothingness to watch over the children, to see the Prophecy fulfilled.

It was for the Existence to Be.

The Dracoinnes of Graelithe accepted Alpha into their brood.  After all, he had wings just like theirs, and his eyes burned with the same fierce light.  But this little creature had no scales, just soft pale covering.  A lighter shade of gold covered the top of its head, and its eyes were bright blue.  Far from a Dracoinne!  Nevertheless, they took it in and named it Lucius- the bringer of Light.

The Seiraphae also received Omega well.  Though she had vulnerable outer-shell and her eyes and hair were a color they never knew existed, she had the same white wings and the gold crescent encircling her head.  They christened her as Kali- the dark one.

Over time, Alpha, known as Lucius and Omega, known as Kali grew, becoming more beautiful and more powerful.  They dwelled in the love of their fellows, yet at the same time grew somewhat different.  Farther and farther apart they drifted from the beings that raised them.  But still they felt something was missing.  And they were not the only ones changing.  After Time Been, the Dracoinnes became more mischievous and clever, while the Seiraphae became wiser and holier.  Yet still no sin was.

Seventeen years passed from the moment Kali and Lucius Were.  Then a piece of Darkness—somehow infinitely blacker than anything in Graelithe—appeared in the Nothingness.  From Omni Time saw it, and knew it to be named Evil.

The piece grew rapidly and split into two.  The two manifested themselves into shapes of beings, altered themselves into a Dracoinne and a Seiraph.  Then they got accepted into the separate communities.  As the foreigners before them, they got warmly welcomed in.  The two Evils—named Lie and Deception—slowly but surely started planting the seeds of evil in the cores of the Beings.

At first, the Dracoinnes and the Seiraphae resisted.  But the Daemons pressed them harder and harder.  To those in Jairalla, they talked of glittering, majestic creatures, savage and brutal monsters living eternally in the dark.  The Daemon in Graelithe meanwhile spoke of shining beings that resided perpetually in the light—light stolen from Graelithe.  They incited the crowds with their unholy lies, and gradually made they hate the other species in the Nothingness.

As the days passed, the Dracoinnes and the Seiraphae started to envy and hate Lucius and Kali.  How dare these strange creatures have splendor far different from them?  Lucius was golden, a burning fire in the shadows of the Dracoinnes.  And Kali's beauty spoke of mystery and an alien attractiveness, far beyond the understanding of the Seiraphae.

Their jealousy drove the creatures almost insane.  Eighteen years after they have been found, Kali and Lucius were driven away.  They were cast out from the homes they grew up in and into...the Nothingness.  Once there, Kali sat down.  She started singing softly.  Out of the blue, tiny globes started to appear...

In an opposite side of the Nothingness, Lucius heard the beautiful voice.  Enraptured, he followed the sound.  He reached a place where there were lovely orbs hanging in the air, slowly growing bigger and bigger.  There was a girl sitting on one of them, sweetly singing.  She looked up at him, and they both looked at each other in shock and amazement.

Another creature, just like she/he?  Impossible!  There were some differences, but they instinctively knew they were meant for each other.  Kali started singing again; and know that this was the first song of love.  Soon, Lucius joined in.  Millions of brightly colored lights started to Be.

High, sweet notes transformed into burning balls of light.  The lower full-bodied melodies quickly became planets.  More and more animated the song developed until the song became its own consciousness—Cozmonia, Creation of the universe.

After many trials, the two had children.  Their first was Earth, a brown haired little boy with caring eyes and nurturing hands.  Water soon followed blue haired and smiling.  Wind soon followed after her twin brother, knowledgeable and airy.  They were often unpredictable and sometimes violent, but nearly always in rage was their younger sister Fire, a redhead that was continually in a tantrum, but very warm and friendly when she was calm.  The first four visited all the glowing balls and made them planets.

The 5th child was Life, a golden-haired and gray-eyed joy bubbling with energy.  Soon followed Death, with hair as dark as her mother's, mocha skin, and the same gray eyes as her twin's.  Death always went behind Life, and both stayed to dwell on their brothers and sister's creations.

The Dracoinnes and the Seiraphae are still locked in their endless battle.  Occasionally a stray bolt will come and touch a star.  The star freezes and dies, and becomes a hole for the Evil to reside in.

To this day, Kali and Lucius are still singing, singing the song of creation.  And remember that as you read the last word in this story, this isn't the end, but the beginning.

A/N: So...did it suck?  The first chapter of the series is posted; I’ve got the whole first part written out; please check it out.  I’d love to her reviews from everyone.

I did NOT get Graelithe from Pokemon's Growlithe!  As for the theme of the story, well...C.S. Lewis kind of gave me the idea when Aslan created Narnia by singing.  Whatever...Just PLEASE Read and Review...
