Chapter 6: Down the Hole

Look, the chapter you've all been waiting for!! They're going to wonderland!

Tatsuki had whirled around when Sho had shouted out and they both ran over to pull Sana back from the shadow but they were too late. Kaori and Sasa had let go of each other and watched, horrified as Sana was sucked into the black shadowy hole.

"Damn." cursed Tatsuki. He ran his hand through his hair. He looked angry. Sho wrung his hands in worry and said," I hope Sana will last long enough for us to find her." They began to converse on what to do and the other two on the ground sat quietly.

Finally, Kaori could take no more and she stood up. She hissed evilly at Sho and Tatsuki," You two, sit! I want an explanation and I want it now. How does Sana know you two? What does she mean by boyfriend and what the fuck just happened?"

Sho said," Eep." before hiding behind Tatsuki, who looked at Kaori in surprise. He turned to Sho and said," What's with her?"

Sho just shook his head and said," She's SCARY when she's mad." He positioned himself further behind his brother. Sasa could barely contain himself from laughing, despite the serious situation.

"Well?" asked Kaori. She folded her arms and tapped her foot impatiently. She was confused, tired, worried and irritated. That was not a good combination. She looked like she was about to bite their heads off.

Tatsuki ignored and walked over to the spot where Sana had disappeared. He felt the ground. It was soft. His lips were set in a fine line. Sana could still be found. He said," We'll talk about that later. I think we'll be able to find Sana. The gateway's still fresh. We have about half an hour until it completely closes. Once it closes, it'll become very difficult to find her."

Sho jumped up in the air and said," Well? What are we waiting for?" he rushed over but Tatsuki held him back.

"Wait, what about those two?"

"What about them?"

"Remember, the natural gateways only operate during certain time periods and they're also really hard to find? Today's the last day of the fifth cycle. If they come with us they might be trapped for about at a week or a month or even more. That's why Sana's not allowed to go back with us when we make our trips."

Kaori said angrily," Wait a minute!! She's my best friend! Why shouldn't I be allowed to help save her?" She glared at the two twins. Sho shrank under her glare.

Tatsuki said," Absolutely out of the question; I won't be held responsible for you two. Your parents will most certainly not approve, Kaori."

"Who cares?! They don't pay much attention to my activities anyway. They're oblivious to anything besides their work. You could set a fire in front of their face and they wouldn't notice. I'll just say I'm staying over at a friend's house. I do that all the time. They won't care. They'll smile and nod and say okay."

Sasa said," Sana's my friend too! I want to help her too. I'll be responsible for Kaori if you don't mind."

Tatsuki glanced at Sasa and said," Fine. Do what you want. 10 minutes, that's all you've got. After that, if you don't show up, we'll leave without you."

Sasa smiled and said," Thank you."

"Tatsuki, what are you." Sho said as Tatsuki raised his hand as a gesture of silence. Sho obeyed rather sulkily.

Sasa began to pack up his tent and said gently to Sana," Go pack now." Sana looked at him for a moment and began to walk to her room. She didn't even try to think about the way the events had turned. This was way too unrealistic and weird, even for her, the queen of fantasy stories, manga and sci-fi movies.

"Pack," she thought," Just pack. Think about this later." She absentmindedly grabbed her manga knapsack and ran downstairs again to meet the others.

The three boys were already there waiting for her. Sho fidgeted uncomfortably. Tatsuki looked irritated and Sasa looked anxious.

Kaori said," Well, I'm ready. Let's go."
