The Red Badge of Courage doesn’t belong to me, it belongs to Stephen Crane. But this poem is mine.

Found Poem – Red Badge of Courage (For those who don’t know, a found poem is a poem that takes passages from a book and creates poetry from the unchanged lines). This is WAY different than my usual work, and also my first poem on .

The War God

Onslaught of redoubtable dragons

Red and green monster

Wait to be gobbled

Like a blind man

Made a dab with his sword

Rows of cruel teeth that grinned

Fears had been wondrously magnified

Noises of the battle

Long wild screams

Initial morsels for the dragons

Methodical idiots! Machinelike fools!

All

Hurrying briskly to

Be gulped into the infernal mouths of

The war god

Please review if you have the time…and thanks for reading!
