The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, set out on a quest to collect folklore and record popular tales so they would not get lost to history's forgetful cruelty.

One story that they collected was the story of Hansel and Gretel, two young children, forced from their homes by an evil step parent. But the children used clever knowledge to find their way back again.

While the brothers in deed made an effort to record this story correctly, most of the true information was lost. But not completely lost…
