"Forget - Me - Not"

Forget the tears given freely,

and the blood red cheeks aflame

with shame to keep you happy.

Forget all the times my pain

echoes in every word, and you

just cast me aside like garbage.

Forget the feeling of my body shaking

as I tried to muffle sobs

that I knew would make you angry.

Forget the iron clawed fingernails

ripping into flesh so soft, so tortured

by lips, and tongue and hands.

Forget the innocent I was before I

fell into you, and the pureness that

my eyes glowed of, the heart you fell for too.

Forget the tragedy I've seen as you

lay beside me, sleeping.

But most of all, forget - me- not,

for I shall forget all of you.
