Crystal Shards
Author:
Mistress Jakira PM
A three-verse series of analogies more or less about being in love, or having a crush. Spurred by video games (specifically N64 Kirby: The Crystal Shard) mixed with boy-induced mood swings. Hmm...

Crystal Shards

I know that you don't mean me harm
But I wish you understood
The power of that unpurposeful charm
That puts an axe to my heart of wood.

You don't know the measure of the pain
That just walking beside me inflicts
To the point where I think I'll go insane
With one more prod or courting kick.

Like soft green trees and fragile grass
The icy wind bombards
You shatter my shimmering heart of glass
To a million crystal shards.

Author's Notes: This was just an analogy that was inspired by some strange mix of mood-swing and N64 Kirby. ^_^; Nothing much else to say, I guess.
