A/N: What happens when you fall in love with a man and his music?

Ode to a Music Man

Ageless music man

I would be your Lolita

If you asked me to

I slip into dreams

With your music in my ears

As the wheels go round

Hell lay before me

But with you there at my side

My heart felt lighter

Streets filled with sorrow

But by walking beside you

My tears were sweeter

You’re not playing games

You couldn’t do that to me

You’re just not like that

Still it’s hard to breathe

The air is thick in my lungs

I can’t move, can’t leave

Harsh, grating voices

Kill the sounds I long to hear

Please go on, for me

Did you hear my song?

Waiting for you to find me,

I sang it for you

I’m not my mother

I’m not ev’ryone’s favorite

Just let me be yours

I’m not a child

Without an identity

I know who I am

Why is it so hard

For you to see the real me?

Ev’ryone else does

You will not hurt me

And part of me wants you to

With pain comes pleasure

Leaning in closer

I whisper word in your ear

Simple melodies

One question remains

When will you listen to me;

Listen to my heart

You need to hear me

Let me hold you in my heart

And take care of you

But you need to rest

So I’ll let you slip away

Sweet dreams… I love you
