Ocean Angel
By FantasygirlAuthor’s Note: Okay before I start the story I am going to answer Josephine Sawyer’s questions.
Morai actually met Kal face to face in the second chapter. They know they’re friends because she helps them find Zair in the third chapter and she tells them Sero’s weakness in the fifth chapter. Because of this Kal feels comfortable in her presence. Kal, Zair, and Zephon have known each other for many years. Kal’s and Zair’s parents died when they were at a young age, so Zephon took them in and taught them how use they’re unique abilities.
Zephon is upset about Zair’s death; he just doesn’t show it like Kal. He feels that showing too much emotion is weak and he does not want to show Sero how much he hurt him.
I hope that answers your questions Josephine Sawyer. If you have any more questions just tell me in your reviews.
Chapter 6 Ocean“Is it over?” Morai asked. Her question was answer when Sero’s body dissolved into black mist. The water that Kal was standing sunk down to its normal level. Kal ran out of the water towards Zephon and Morai.
“Was it worth it?” Kal asked quietly.
“Worth what? The world is saved, thanks to you,” Zephon replied.
“Zair’s life! Don’t you even care?!” Kal yelled. His eyes started to fill with tears.
Zephon lowered his head. His long golden bangs covered his watery eyes. He had been hiding his emotions from everyone. He could feel deep inside, his wounded heart ached. Zair was like a baby sister to him. The facial expression on Zephon’s face answered Kal’s question.
“I’m sorry Zephon.” Morai kept silent. After some silence Zephon started to leave the scene, Morai followed. Kal didn’t follow.
“Are you coming,” Zephon asked softly.
“Give me moment,” Kal said mournfully. He walked to where the sand and water clashed. The other two decided to give him some time alone and continued walking. The sun was starting to set and the colors reflected on the water. Kal leaned over and looked at his reflection. He frowned and punched the water.
“Why did you have to take her?” he cried.
“I didn’t take her, but I must give you something,” a voice said. It was mystical voice coming from the water. A massive creature rose from the water. It had blue scales that sparkled and deep blue eyes. It had four long wings, which could be used for flying and swimming. And floating in the water was it’s long feathery tail.
“Who are you?” Kal asked in amazement.
“My name is Ocean Angel, I’m here to grant one wish for freeing Earth from the evil,” the mystical beast said.
“What I want most in the world is for Zair to become alive again,” Kal cried.
“Your wish has been granted,” Ocean Angel said as it disappeared. In the water where Ocean Angel had been was Zair. Kal quickly ran up to her. She started to sway back and forth but Kal caught her before she fell. After a few minutes she regained her senses.
“Kal? How did we get here?” Zair asked clearly confused.
“That’s not important. What’s important is that you are alive and breathing,” Kal murmured. “I thought I lost you.”
“I died, didn’t I? I guess my sacrifice wasn’t in vain,” Zair smiled weakly.
“Sacrifice?”
“I was awake when Sero captured me. He was going to take you but I convinced him to take me instead,” Zair explained.
Kal looked at in shock. She had risked her life to save his. He gave her a tight hug and started to cry on her shoulder. “Don’t ever do a thing like again. Promise me.”
“I can’t if your life is in danger I will do anything in my power to protect you.”
“Then promise me this,” Kal took her hand. “That you will do every thing in your power to keep yourself alive.
“I promise.” She turns her head to see a beautiful sunset. Her jade eyes turn back to Kal. She gives him a wide grin and slashes some water into his face. She quickly gets out of his grip and starts to run away.
“Hey! You’ll pay for that,” Kal says as he runs after her. She turns around and gives him a loud raspberry.
“You’ll never catch me,” she yells playfully. Kal closed his eyes as he ran after her. He could feel a warm feeling his heart. He hoped that he would not have to fight ever again but knew there were many battles to be fought in the future. But in the meantime he would enjoy life, with Zephon, Morai and Zair. Their friendship can never be broken, not even by death.
