Author Comment #1: Just an original bit of poetry folks, not really much to see at all, but I’d be deeply gratified if you read and review.
Terrible Temptation
Just the very way
My name falls from your lips.
What a sound!
Silky voice.
Entrancing
And enticing.
You’re a siren!
Such a tempter!
The apple held by Eve.
You’re a demon in disguise!
Is that fire in your eyes?
Feigned innocence and sweetness.
Adorability and meekness.
How you walk!
How you talk!
Enchanting
And Inviting.
You cast bewitching spells.
Oh hell, I’m trapped!
I’m ensnared!
In love and falling deeper,
And you’ve become my keeper.
You’re a siren!
Such a tempter!
The apple held by Eve.
You’re a demon in disguise!
Is that fire in your eyes?
Sweet darling can’t you see,
Just what you do to me?
I’ve lost my heart to an angel,
But one that brings despair.
Oh you’ve covered me in sin,
So tell me baby, please,
Am I so wrong to like it?
You’re a siren!
Such a tempter!
The apple held by Eve.
You’re a demon in disguise!
Is that fire in your eyes?
I see fire in your eyes,
Does my love reflect in mine?
Author Comment #2: Yes, this is one of those things that is written at twelve o’clock at night and makes you wonder, “what the hell was I on?” when you read it again. o.O
