I wish I were a dragon,
So I’d have wings to fly,
Up and up I’d soar,
Until I touched the sky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were a unicorn,
Running to and fro,
And with my long alicorn,
I’d make the world my own
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were a wolf,
Respected and feared,
So when I approach my enemies,
They’d dare not be neared.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were an oak tree,
Standing mighty and tall,
Looking down on the world below,
Hoping I won’t fall.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were a rose,
Red like the heart’s blood,
A romantic sight to most,
But not while stuck in mud.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were a goddess,
Wise beyond my years,
Looking down on the earth below,
Crying people’s tears.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were goshawk,
Flying high and free,
Nothing to stop my spirit,
From the world I long to see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I were flower,
Blooming in the spring,
Being admired and cared for,
When the bell will ring.
