They call them "disruptions." Can you believe that? Disruptions. Huh. We call them "elemental storms." ‘Cause that’s what they are, no matter what anybody says. No matter what purpose they’re used for, or what they do. They’ll always be elemental storms. A rose by any other name is still a rose.

I know it’s a misquote, and I don’t care. It works in describing how I feel.

And yes, I said we. There’s more than one of us. It’s me, Blizzard, Tsunami, Quake, Blaze, and Blitzen. Who is not a reindeer.

I’m Twister. Not like the game.

The names pretty much give away what we are. Blizzard’s a girl, so’s Tsunami. Blaze is, too, but she might as well be male. Quake and Blitzen are both guys. Me, I’m female.

We live in Nowhere, USA. Not an actual city, since there’s lots of nowhere in the States.

Oh, and a word of advice, don’t piss Blaze off. You’ll regret it. Not-so-spontaneous combustion isn’t exactly what you’d call "fun."
