A song with many a rhythm
from a song so sweet and fair
to a song of sadness and despair
a laugh a scream, a sorrowful cry
a hope, a truth, a terrible lie

The quietness of a terrified class
sound of whispers bouncing off the glass
the tapping of an impatient foot
the shuffling of the tests we took
the screeching sound of chalk on the board
the proud face of the boy galored

yellow buses providing thrill
horns are honking louder still
a chatter box while walking home
