It deals with insanity, as so many of my other poems do. Wonder why?

Too Tired to Fight

If I know what I'm doing, am I insane?

If no tears fell down, was it actual pain?

How can you help me when I can't help myself?

How can you tell me it wasn't real--those feelings that I felt?

You're not in my head, so you don't know

My thoughts are hidden, won't let them show

You can say what you want,

can't make me believe

Can't tell me it's okay, I'm not that naive

I know what's happening, just can't make it go away

It's imbedded inside me; it's here to stay.

Don't talk like that, you'll make it mad.

When I'm away from you all, it's not so bad.

So, just turn your head when I come your way

don't try to talk, I have nothing to say.

As long as it's happy, then I'm alright

I'll just play along

I'm to tired to fight.
