The gray halls filled with people

stare at me, mouths moving

they pass me, and I hear

nothing, as if the rainy

skies have sucked all sound from

the earth

droplets mist my cheeks, my eyelashes

fluttering, surprised and delicate

my rainy hair streaming down my

face, cold air invigorates me

I feel beautiful

head thrown back, sky's tears rolling

down my face, laughter bubbles

and I smile, ignoring the eyes

that observe in askance

the stares slide off me

like rain, and my eyes sparkle
