Innocent Air

Cool, clear water

Falls on my palm.

Cool, clear water

Running down my face

Oh, cold it was,

It awakens.

Living, thriving, cold

Torrents moving, fear

Alive.

The water is here

I am afraid;

Afraid of water.

I cry out loud

To no one.

There is no reply.

Am I to die?

Heaven only knows;

Oh, only God knows.

I think of things;

Memories flood

Into my mind.

My heart surges

As time passes.

My lungs are burning

From lack of air.

I clench my fist

I'm sinking

A scream

Torn from me

In the innocent air.
