The Thief

The world crashed down in a moment

The sky cracked and rained down in shards

Blood-smeared, she walked away from it

Strumming her child-sized guitar.

Bleakly, she noted the damage

Sensibly aware of her pain

Blood escaped from many places

From the unnatural rain

Laughing, she played her crude music

Crying, she sang of her grief.

It tumbled 'cause her life was stolen

She cried, for she was the thief.
