please dont cry for me, you wrote
in this tear stained note that i hold before my eyes
you composed in the note your sorrowful approach
to life and its misery and its lies
now im home again, sitting alone
staring at my reflection in the glass
blue, your eyes were so blue
i wish i could stare at them and not have to think of the past

mirror on the wall, dont lie to me
tell me what your reflection hides
did i love her all for nothing
or did she live her life as a lie

standing on top of your grave, i shed a tear
wondering what could have been or saved
back in school, there was no pain to fear
just our futures ahead, a path to pave
five years have passed, since the day that
my parents came in and told me the tragic news
death is such an ugly word, especially since
it now describes someone as beautiful as you

mirror on the wall, dont lie to me
tell me what your reflection hides
did i love her all for nothing
or did she live her life as a lie
