My eyes are no longer bloodshot

Although-

The restless phantoms of the night still haunt me

The delusions

The pain

Where can this all end?

No, it won’t be by me.

I can’t promise you the same.

I’m struggling to keep the truth encapsuled in a glowing cloud of innocence.

I wonder if everyone’s pain feels the same.

Everyone is shedding their tears on the inside.

Ignorance can be bliss, if only for a moment.

What would you do

If I

Stole your shoes to walk in for a mile?

The legs of knowledge are shaking.

What would you do

If I

Kept them for a while?

The foundations of deities are quaking.

Is

Love

A

Lie?

The answers are permanently elusive.

I like it this way.
