The following poem was written for a fan fiction called ‘Prophecies’ that I wrote (or rather am still writing). It dates back to 07/01, and didn’t originally have a title, but I decided to post it under the name of the fan fic I wrote it for.

Prophecies

Condemned to see, condemned to know
Eager to tell the truth, but trying not to show
You fear yourself

Haunting nightmares tell what will be
Lay down your life for the ability to see
A Chosen One

Admired and praised, but hated above all
Hated for the truth you speak, the prediction of rise and fall
Sacrifice yourself

Fate can be outwitted by neither queen nor king
No matter what song they tell the fortune bird to sing
Run, Cassandra, run
