A short, but wonderful documentary on TV about ravens made me write this. (14.05.02)

Corax

Your night-black dress shimmers in the light
Like polished onyx in the sun
Your familiar voice calls for me to hear
Persistent, high-pitched, crystal clear
I see you circling high above my head
At first I just watch, then I start to run
And spread my arms to mirror you
Enjoy our little game of fly and pursue
‘Til I can run no more and collapse on the grass
Panting, laughing – once more, the Raven has won.
