Excitement flows through the air.

As the day draws near.

As the couples talk about how many dances they will have together,

And the singles talk about how many people they will dance together with.

Girls are picking out their dresses and talking about hairstyles; what color their nails will be.

Lunch tables are filled with the normal chatter and combustion, except they aren't gossiping the

usual.

They're gossiping the dance.

Friends go together because they don't care about dates, they just want to have a good time. The

world is their dance floor, the world is their make-out corner. Their motto: "DATES SUCK!"

Dating couples go together because they are in *wuv* and cannot help but look into each others'

lovesick eyes during that ONE slow dance of the evening and think..."Dude, I might get some

tonight!"

Singles wishing they had a date- go alone, meet friends there, and stare longingly at the dancing

couples during the slow dance who are visualizing them and their siginificant other "getting

their groove on" and hope that someone asks them to dance. Even if just as a friend.

No matter what category you belong to, the dance WILL come.

You WILL go to the dance.

You CANNOT miss the dance.

You CANNOT kiss the dance.

This shall be saved for a special someone who you meet there.

It's a known fact for many.

You envision that day: you stand there all pretty-looking; your hair, in tact, your dress,

shimmering, and your makeup, beautiful (all this applies to girls, not guys,

keep that in mind). This, your hair, makeup, and dress, shall be messy tomorrow (or for all you

sluts out there's cases, by the end of the night!)

After a few pictures of you looking your best, and a ride to a top secret location...or not,

you are there. At THE DANCE.

You meet you prince, a charming prince

As charming as a prince could ever be!

Or not.

It all depends on the outcome of the situations you are in.

*Sigh*

And so, you envision the music, the food, and the dancing,

But you won't know how it turns out until that night!
