Sometimes I step back, out of my body
Staring at a reflection of myself
Wondering if there is anybody
Who sees me as a writer sees herself.

You ever looked into a writer's soul?
Reflected in her writing you can see
Her hopes and dreams embodied as a scroll
So fragile, yet protected secrecy

Writers' souls are woven into writing
So much so that they are one and the same
Be careful what you say, your words may sting
And without your knowledge can kill or maim

These writers' souls, they strived hard to create
So let not your words their honor berate.
