The Rose

The rose so dark crimson

in color that it is almost

black.

Dripping the red crimson

down its dark green stem

and onto the floor.

The color of the rose

slowly fades to red

then on to pink.

The puddle of blood

pooling on the floor.

The petals slowly fall

into the pool of blood.

They aren't red or pink

but white as freshly fallen snow.

The petals are still as soft

and smooth as silk.

Roses to some represent

love, romance, and passion.

But, to me it represents

pain, anger, and hate.

Roses are used for so many

many things from Valentine's

Day to weddings and from the

joy of birth to the sadness of

a death and everything in between.
