I was angry and upset,

screaming at the world.

"Why are you against me?"

My mind spun and whirled.

Throwing out this question

to whomever had a care,

"Answer my query!"

My ranting pierced the air.

Why was there so much anger?

Why was there so much pain?

"I had a deplorable day!"

I cried out in vain.

But no one cared about me,

or my wretched life.

Rather, they chose,

to watch me struggle with strife.

"Just hear me out,

listen to what I have to say!"

But everyone ignored me,

instead, they hastened away.
