Home Sweet Home

"Welcome back, men," said Director Fontaine as he greeted each person as they got off the carriers.

"Thank you, Director," each agent said as he got off onto the dock.

"Oh, and Ivan, we have someone here to take you home," said Fontaine. He pointed to a wiry but tall man who seemed to be permanently frowning. Although the man was not stout or heavy-set, he looked lean and strong. Ivan walked over to him. The man turned, beckoning to Ivan with a wave of his hand, then strode towards a black car.

Finally, thought Ivan as the man drove down Main Street, I am home and my spying days are over. Suddenly, Ivan noticed that the man had missed a turn onto the highway.

"Hey, mister! You missed the entrance to the highway. I don't think you can get to my house by traveling on local roads," Ivan said. The man, ignoring him, drove into town and parked in a dark alley. Then he turned and pointed something at Ivan.

"Oh shit, " muttered Ivan as he stared into the barrel of a silenced nine- millimeter pistol. Then the gun spat out four silent bullets into Ivan' s chest and two more into his temple. Ivan' s limp and lifeless body was dragged out of the car and thrown into a large dumpster. Then Matthew Jalend drove off in his car back to headquarters to report that he had "safely transported the ex-spy back to his home."

Epilogue...

Carl Simpson's bloody body parts were retrieved when a CIA agent decided to take the stairs down as part of an "exercise program". He noticed that the floor at the bottom of the stairs had long streaks of red. He called the security team and they found his remains dumped inside a bucket inside a broom closet.

The USA lost 47 F-16's as opposed to 268 Russian Migs in the fierce air battle.

Michael spent four weeks in the hospital and was discharged with a cast on his arm and seventeen stitches in his side.

The Special Ops agents that were killed were given a large funeral and the ones that survived each received a Certificate of Honor.

The grenade that the SEALs threw at the guards killed every single one of them. The guards on the top floor were later rounded up and released, minus their weapons.

Henry Grawsby's lifeless body was discovered when his wife called the director. She was in hysterics. A bloodhound team located Henry's body.

Matthew Jalend was caught by a surveillance team monitoring the Washington D.C. subway that was tipped off by an anonymous caller. The caller was later determined to have called from a public telephone several blocks away. The CIA speculated that the caller was another ex- spy for the US or one of Henry's CIA friends.
