Below

by Luinthoron

Sweet scent of roses,
Bitter scent of death.
They both come together
Here down below the earth.

We die and then we lay here
Six feet below the ground -
The only one that cares
Is just our faithful hound...

They all threw earth three handfuls,
Pretended to be sad.
But it would take a great fool
To believe all what they said.

Alone I lived, and died I
Just as alone, no friends.
Why should I, now I'm buried,
Believe they've changed their minds.
