Read a line, skip a line, read a line, skip

Why can't you find what I say to be true?
Can't you see?
I've landed here
My tears are on the the brink of falling.
In a space that's constricting
on the pearl surface of the ice.
with it's red drapes and crimson flooring.
Dogs growl from the shore line
People glare through the iron slits
and keep me from screaming out
and spit their God-filled chants
They push against their chains
of how evil I am so I'm in a box
trying to charge me
being tourtured and lied to.
