They say I'm bitter
You think I'm cold
That I'm over reacting
Like I'm three years old
Sometimes I wonder
Is anybody there?
Do they even see me?
Does anybody care?

Life is hard
And we all cry
Life is short
And we all die
I'm all alone
Broken, hurting
I've crashed
Now I'm burning

Making up reasons
To justify all the hurt inside.
Inventing excuses
Why I want to run and hide
Try to explain why I feel this way
To tell you about my pain
Why my smile faded
My tears like heavy rain

Life is hard
And we all cry
Life is short
And we all die
I'm all alone
Broken, hurting
I've crashed
Now I'm burning
How hard it is to find love
When it's all you really need
The world so full of pain
Hearts so full of greed
Music reaches my soul
My heart sings a song
A tune of mourning
The melody's all wrong

Life is hard
And we all cry
Life is short
And we all die
I'm all alone
Broken, hurting
I've crashed
Now I'm burning
The world seems so big
My path so unclear
Everyone judges
If I cry a single tear

My fingers grip the edge
How long can I hold on?
I retreat from you
How long before I'm gone?
Am I the only one?
I'm all alone or am I?
Is anyone else tired of trying?
Sick of reaching for the sky?

Life is hard
And we all cry
Life is short
And we all die
I'm all alone
Broken, hurting
I've crashed
Now I'm burning

Life is hard
And we all cry
Life is short
And we all die
I'm all alone
Broken, hurting
I've crashed
Now I'm burning...
