Sometimes when you hold back
the truth becomes a lie.
Sometimes when you know that
you could've stop something you denied.
How much does a life of a rose
mean to you?
How much does it's colours
always stay true?
Sometimes when you hold it in
you know that it's wrong.
Sometimes you pretend you don't hear it
your heart's melodic song.
How much does a rose life
mean to you?
How much do you like the colour of the sky
to stay blue?
Sometimes we defy things we can't see.
That defied thing might be the love for you and me.
Sometimes we defy
things we just don't know.
Like taking away the glitter
of a star's warming glow.
Sometimes we just fight it
the tears that slip past our lips.
Sometimes we deny it
that we long for that kiss.
Denying to defy,
that's full of misery.
Denying to defy,
the most powerful feeling.
Slipping down your cheek
to your nose, to your lips.
Laughing in the eyes
of somebody who can't feel this.
Dancing
with the lame;
teaching the mute
their name.
Painting a beautiful picture
for the blind.
Understanding those
with a disabled mind.
Sometimes we just deny to defy
something deep inside.
Something so deep I just can't hide;
in myself I can't confide.
If I tell my own self,
then soon everybody else
will know that too
I'm denying to defy you.
