Singing children on a bus

Camp field trips sure cause a fuss!

Why are they so damn annoying?

With my mood, I know, they're toying.

Seems like hours on the road

It's carrying this heavy load.

Finally, after much frustration,

We arrived at the destination-

Climbed out of the automobile

The seats of the theater we did steal.

Chew. Chew. Pop!

My heart stops.

Gum tastes good, minty, and fair

But not when it's stuck in your hair.

How extensive the play was, to us!

Then, again, we got on the bus.

Water, brushes through my locks

Almost jumped out of my socks!

At long last, the gum came out!

Back to camp, we were about.

YAY! I'm going home right now-er!

Yes, that is, to take a shower.
