BLOOD MOON RISING

I WONDER.

The daylight is beginning to wane. Far to the west, Appollos is lifting a hand to stifle a yawn while he ruggedly pulls at the reigns of his great chariot. Night will soon be here; a world to replace the other.

I gaze out towards the horizon, where the darkness is swallowing the light.

My eyes narrow and my body turns to stone and I wonder: will tonight be the night?

I SURRENDER.

Imperceptibly and as swiftly as death, the moon rises. A great corpulent shining orb in a sea of glittering blackness. All the stars seem to bow before his coming, as if to say "Good evening, your highness. Come. He's waiting!"

Tonight, the moon is full. Bloated and gazing down upon like a hollow, grinning skull at me from on high. Yes, the light is finally gone. And cleared the way for others. Others who hide in the shadows, others who prey on the weak.

The others that rule the night. Others.like myself. I cannot fight. So I surrender.

I HUNGER.

I melt away in the pool of sweet, sweet blood rays, a gift from the Father. And like the Pheonix I rise. The Shining Father laughs his mocking, malfiec laughter as my body grows darker and darker and stronger and stronger.

My eyes radiate the fire of the moon. I stop a moment to admire the other gifts I have been given. Glistening teeth -three sets of them-glitter under the grin of the Great Skull. My humanity, like the light before it, is all but extinct. In it's place lies only one thought, one urge that's so dominant.

So simple.

So powerful.

I HUNGER.!
