Eyelash

By: Adelaide

An eyelash on my finger

That just won't go away

No matter how hard I try

Now matter how hard, it stays.

It's just about then I realize

There's something that I do:

I'm making an ordeal

To waste a wish on you.

Maybe If I try a little,

I could make you understand.

Maybe if I try a little,

I don't have to reprimand.

But that time has passed,

And so you have moved on

Forever never here again,

Forever ever gone.

Trying to forget

Is the utter hardest thing

That I've ever had to do;

That my mind could ever bring.

Therefore, I'll keep trying

For your effect to lose its touch;

But up until that point,

I'll miss having you

So much.

***Sigh.***
