I wanted to scrap this poem entirely, until a friend of mine hounded me to
see it, and found in it everything I dreamed I might express. He inspired me
as he has many times before, and so I became inclined to share it with the
world. You will probably not find what he found in this poem, because I did not
express myself clearly. I am not the genius, he is. And so I dedicate this poem
to him.

Leon, this is for you ^_^

Violet Coloured Glasses

I saw the world in a different light
through violet coloured glasses.
I saw a life of melancholy beauty
prose turned poetic,
dull turned tragic,
and new, enticing senses
tingled with their first awareness.
I found a world I'd never known,
hiding in a glance
through violet coloured glasses.
I learned to weep for loss,
cry for joy
and mourn dead dreams that slipped away.
I found new meaning
and new hope
through violet coloured glasses.
