You reach out and kiss my hand,
Taking away all the confusion,
Though it's hard to admit,
That's just an illusion.
I stand out in a crowd singing and shining,
Impressing and inspiring the crowd,
God I wish that was my life,
Woops... Did I say that out loud?
Be like Ryuichi,
Make yourself shine,
I see his happy life,
And wish it were mine.
I'm too self absorbed,
Can't see past my troubles,
Ignoring responsibility and family,
Imagining them float away in bubbles.
Back to my dreams,
Of love and shiny knights,
Ignoring them downstairs,
And all the bickering and fights.
You whisper in my ear,
Telling me of our gravitation,
Then questions of family loyalty come along,
What an accusation!
Stealing me from the cheesy after school special,
With one breathe-taking, shiny kiss,
And I wake up thinking,
God... Ignorance is bliss.
Heh. That was definitely one of the worst poems I've written in a long time. But just a few months ago I was getting a D in poetry so it has gotten better. *grins* Please review, but go easy on me. Hehe. Shiny kiss. What a strange person I am.
