Deceitfully True Chapter One Adventure

---

"Jim, Ana go play." The two kids mother said softly and as usual with a warm smile.

"What's wrong mom?" Jim, the older of the two asked.

"Nothing." Their mother said wishing it was true. "Now go play." She said a bit more firmly.

"Ok." Jim said. His sister walked outside and Jim followed her.

"What's wrong with mom?" Ana asked him with a worried look on her usually pretty face.

"I- I'm not sure."

Ana looked away. "I suppose we should go away for a bit so mom doesn't get mad."

"Yeah." Jim looked off to the left of the small cottage. "Hey! What's that?" He exclaimed squinting against the bright noon sun.

Ana looked. "Where?"

He pointed to a large dark object in the distance. "That!"

Se looked where he was pointing. "Oh!" She exclaimed. "I don't know."

His dark brown eyes sparkled like they always did when he got an idea. "Let's go check it out!"

"I'm not so sure we should, Jim." She said uncertainly.

"Come on Ana! I don't want to go by myself." He pleaded.

"Ok, Ok I'll go."

Jim's face broke out into a wide smile. "Come on!" He called over his shoulder as he began running down the big hill.

"Jim! Wait for me!" She yelled running after him.

She caught up to him a quarter mile after. He was sitting in front of a stream resting and waiting for her. She sat next to him looking at the stream. "Jim." She whispered. "This stream was never here before."

"I know. Look behind you. The hill's not there anymore and neither's our house."

She looked and saw only an open field. She looked frightened. "Jim what're we going to do?"

"Go on." He said.

"But-

"Ana, I wanted to go see what that thing was and I'm going to!" He exclaimed loudly. He looked shocked at his outburst. He rarely ever got angry with her. "I'm sorry Ana."

--- " 'Ello." Said a voice behind them.

They both turned and say a guy about fourteen-years-old. He had slicked back white blonde hair and friendly gray eyes.

"Who're you?" Jim asked relaxing for a moment.

He smiled revealing a mouthful of perfect razor sharp teeth. Both kids screamed and ran.

"Oh come on! Get back here! It was only a joke." The boy called back in his British accent.

The two kids stopped running and looked at each other. Ana nodded. The two cautiously walked back over to him. He smiled again to reveal perfect normal teeth.

"I'm Draygo." He said grinning.

"I'm Jim and this is Ana." Said Jim motioning to Ana who was standing away from Draygo.

Draygo's grin faded. "You don't know who I am?" He asked sounding a bit mad and a bit puzzled at the same time.

Jim and Ana shook their heads.

Draygo frowned. "I'm Draygo Anthony Neptoure." He said as if expecting some kind of response.

Jim and Ana shook their heads again. Draygo basically jumped up and down in fury.

"The richest elf in all of Catella!" He exclaimed.

"Elf?!" Ana and Jim exclaimed at the same time.

"Yes elf. You two aren't from around here are you?" Draygo sound a bit rudely.

"How're you an elf?" Ana asked.

Draygo rolled his eyes and pointed to his ears. They were pointed at the top.

"No way!" Jim exclaimed.

"Yes way. Now where're you from?" Draygo said.

"We're from Virginia." Ana said softly.

"What is this Virginia place?"

"It's in America."

Draygo looked confused. "Where's America?"

"On North America of course right below Canada."

"North America? Canada? You two need to see a doctor." Draygo said looking at them strangely.

Jim got an idea. "Just playing with you Draygo buddy. Were from over there." He said pointing the way they'd came.

"Ah of course." Draygo smiled. "You two are very odd as are most Nefellagers and their northern neighbors Halagers."

"Yeah."

"So which are you from?"

"Hala." Ana said.

"You two have traveled a long way then! Come with me I'm always glad to let Halagers stay with me." He exclaimed grinning. "Not to fond of Nefellagers though. It's bad town up there."

"Yeah we had to pass through it." Jim said going along with the story.

"So how's it up in Hala. I hear the weather's great up there."

"Yeah it's beautiful." Ana said smiling at Jim. "I hear there's lots of Fairies up there now though."

"Yeah tons of them." Jim said smiling back at Ana.

"They're slumming up the town aren't they?"

"Quite a bit." A high voice said behind them.

They all turned around.

"Ollie!" Draco exclaimed. "It's been a while."

Ollie was short only about 3 feet tall with short brown hair and green eyes. Ollie looked at the two kids for a moment before looking back to Draygo.

"Ya know." Ollie started. "Young Mistress Krystaline and Young Master Camerone are missing."

"Since when?"

"Couple days ago. Most think the two are heading down here."

Draygo looked at Ana and Jim with more interest now. He flashed Ana a knowing smile.

"Well Ollie go alert the guards at Nuteller. They'll need to be found."

"Right on it sir." Ollie said before flying off.

Draygo looked to make sure Ollie was gone before looking at the two.

"So Krystaline, Camerone why are you down her instead of at your palace?"
